Migranteng Kababaihan (MK) Project

About Migranteng Kababaihan Project

The Migranteng Kababaihan Project, funded by a Neighborhood House grant, aims to assess the needs of at least 500 Filipina women and girls in the Seattle/King county area. This survey, as well as additional focus groups and interviews, will gather information regarding education and employment needs among Filipinas. The data collected will be utilized to close gaps in the current understanding of circumstances faced by our community.  A report will be provided to community stakeholders and organizations as part of a needs assessment, in order to generate a baseline with which Pin@y sa Seattle and others can initiate services and campaigns to meet the specific educational and employment needs of recent migrant and immigrant Filipinas in Seattle.
